LightenUp Design:

You finished your floors with carefully chosen rugs, tile or wood. You took hours picking the proper paint or paper for your walls. Your window treatments and tchotchkes were meticulously selected to add sophistication and gusto. Your furniture is fabulous. But honey, your lighting is simply boring!

LightenUp Design started with a simple belief, that the power of art and design can enhance one’s life and surroundings. Lighting, color and art have an enormous impact on the way we experience a room. Our original goal was to turn the utilitarian lamp into a beautiful sculpture that would add panache and elegance to any space. Now that we have completed that goal we have applied that same idea into a new tabletop collection which is expanding rapidly!

LightenUp Design is a eco- friendly company and commits to leveraging our resources to create a healthier planet. All materials used by LightenUp Design non-toxic, afterall you cannot use a more earth friendly product than clay! We recycle all of our materials and use found or reconstituted objects to create all of our designs. Our lamps are compatible with compact flourescent bulbs and we recommend to all of our customers to use these bulbs to help save energy.

The Designer:

LightenUp Design was started in 2004 by Lisa Goldberg. After completing a BFA degree from University of Washington, moving to NYC and working for many years in advertising/marketing, she decided to get out of the corporate world and back into her craft, so she set up a studio and began LightenUp Design. Lisa currently lives and designs in Brooklyn.
